Do elders still ask inactive members to write a letter to disassociating yourself from the Congregation?
by RULES & REGULATIONS indo today's elders ever meet with inactive members and pressure them to write a letter disassociating themselves from the congregation stating that, ''you no longer wish to a jehovah witness"?.
i was baptized at the young age of 16. after turning 18, i stopped attending meetings, field service, and all jehovah's witness activities.
i wanted to be with my high school friends, go to rock concerts, have a girlfriend, and live like a normal teen.

Hello Everyone, Another JW Has Left!
by SuperGirl injust want to introduce myself and let you know that this site is working and is a big help to lots of jws with doubts.
i've been lurking for about a year, the first couple of times i was frightened and literally shaking visiting an apostate site but it's the only place i can come to for sanity.
the religion has become a nut house.

Arbor day?
a priest, don Juan Abern Samtrés, which, according to the chronicles, "convinced of the importance of trees for health, hygiene, decoration, nature, environment and customs, decides to plant trees and give a festive air. The festival began on Carnival Tuesday with the ringing of two bells of the church, and the Middle and the Big. After the Mass, and even coated with church ornaments, don Juan, accompanied by clergies, teachers and a large number of neighbours, planted the first tree, a poplar, in the place known as Valley of the Ejido.
Fuck. Not even that.

I take CBD oil for sleep -- love my CBD!
I know others -- including elders -- who use it as well. No one has a problem with it.

The paranormal.
by Lost in the fog ini know that a lot of the people on here have turned their backs on the idea of a deity deciding that god does not exist.
but what about the unseen spirit world generally such as poltergeists, jinns, voodoo, etc.
if you have become agnostic, atheist, or just don't care since leaving, do you think that there are spirits out there or have you decided that is also hokum?

I have very extreme musical tastes, even within classical sooooo . . . here are two of my favs:
Ma Vlast by Smetana -- This is "classical" classical, and is actually a suite of songs. The most famous (and my favorite) is Vltava (The Moldau)
For Stefan Wolpe by Morton Feldman -- This is modern, minimalist classical. The whole album is great, but the piece For Stefan Wolpe is may favorite
For classical music in general, KAZU Classical in California is amazing, and you can stream it online.

Asylum Caravan
by dubstepped inalright, so what is the deal with the thousands coming to the states right at election time seeking asylum?
i'm not up on this, usually try not to be, but how can this not be manipulative?
it's either manipulative in the size of the group and pressure that creates, or in where it started or who started this, etc.

By the end of this year, after the Migrant Invasion of 20,000 Future Landscapers of America never happens, I could totally see Mattis throwing in the towel, which is a shame. He seems like a really smart, focused guy.
